Poetry Minisode - "Creative Wisdom" | Shifting from Consuming Self Help to Creative Wisdom
Feb 23, 2026There are seasons in life when we gather so much insight, guidance, and well-intentioned advice that our inner world begins to feel crowded.
We read.
We listen.
We learn.
We reflect.
All of it comes from a sincere desire to grow, to heal, and to understand ourselves more deeply. And yet, beneath all that learning, something subtle can happen. It becomes harder to hear our own voice.
Not because it has disappeared, but because it is quieter than the noise around it.
Personal growth is a beautiful thing, but growth isn’t only about gathering wisdom. It is also about allowing that wisdom to settle, to soften, and to become lived. Without space, insight can begin to feel overwhelming. Ideas swirl, advice accumulates, and the mind stays busy trying to keep up.
In those moments, what we often need is not more information, but more space.
For me, creativity has become that space. Creative expression is not just a way of making something beautiful. It is a way of listening. When we work with our hands, follow texture, marks, and instinct, something begins to settle. The noise softens. The mind loosens its grip. And slowly, our own quiet knowing begins to return.
This poem, Creative Wisdom, was born from that experience.

Creative Wisdom
Sometimes the voices of helpers
distracts me from my own.
Well intentioned wisdom
seeking a home inside my zone.A sense of overcrowding,
swirls dizzy in the noise.
So loud and bright and distant
from the whisper deep insideBefore I overflow,
what I really need today,
is the gentle, caring softness,
an intuitive creative way.Time spent allowing things to settle,
A space that doesn't need more words.Just a connection to marks and texture,
that moves freely through my hands.A quiet, tender witness,
guiding me to keep what needs to stay,
And abandon the extra details,
that don’t serve my soul today
Wisdom does not always arrive through effort.
Often, it arrives through presence. And sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is pause, create, and allow what is true to rise naturally to the surface.
