What Does “Magic” Really Mean?
When Terry speaks about magic, she’s not talking about something outside of you.
She’s talking about something deeply internal…
a relationship with yourself.
A connection to your thoughts.
Your energy.
Your inner world.
A remembering that you hold the power to shape your experience of life.
This isn’t about control.
And it’s not about perfection.
It’s about awareness.
Because the moment you begin to notice your thoughts…
to question the stories your mind creates…
you begin to shift something fundamental within you.
And from that place…
everything starts to open.
Creativity as a Gateway Back to Yourself
One of the most beautiful parts of this conversation was exploring how creativity fits into all of this.
Because creativity naturally invites you into a different way of being.
A softer way.
A more intuitive way.
A more honest way.
It asks you to feel.
To listen.
To respond.
And in doing so, it gently brings you back into relationship with your truth.
Terry shared how, as a child, she would retreat into her own “happy space” to navigate the emotional environment around her.
And I think so many of us can relate to this.
We’ve all, in some way, used creativity… imagination… or inner worlds…
as a place of safety.
But somewhere along the way, many of us were taught to leave that behind.
To be more serious.
More productive.
More “grown up.”
And in doing that…
we often disconnect from one of the most powerful tools we have for healing and self-connection.
The Truth About Power and Creativity
We also explored something really important…
The difference between power that comes from ego…
and power that comes from self-connection.
Because true power doesn’t come from control, comparison or external validation.
It comes from knowing who you are.
Trusting what you feel.
And allowing your truth to exist… even if it doesn’t make sense to others.
Creativity supports this.
It gives you a space to explore your inner world without needing to explain it.
To express what’s real…
before you fully understand it.
And over time…
this builds something incredibly important.
Self-trust.
Simple Ways to Reconnect with Your Inner Magic
What I loved about Terry’s approach is how simple and accessible it is.
This isn’t about overcomplicating your growth.
It’s about gently returning to yourself.
A few of the practices she shared include:
- Gratitude – intentionally noticing what is working in your life
- Forgiveness – especially towards your younger self
- Conscious thought awareness – recognising that you can shift your inner dialogue
- Setting daily intentions – choosing how you want to feel and show up
- Creating moments of joy and play – allowing life to feel lighter again
And one of my favourite invitations from this episode…
The Power of “What If?”
Terry shared a simple but powerful question:
What if?
What if you allowed yourself to imagine something more?
What if you followed a desire without needing to justify it?
What if you trusted that something deeper is guiding you?
This question doesn’t demand answers.
It simply opens a door.
And sometimes…
that’s all that’s needed to begin.
A Final Reflection
If there’s one thing I hope you take from this conversation, it’s this:
You don’t need to become someone new to experience more joy, alignment or meaning in your life.
You simply need to reconnect with what’s already within you.
Your creativity is not separate from your healing.
It’s not separate from your growth.
It is the pathway.
So if something in you has been whispering lately…
asking for more space, more expression, more truth…
You may wish to gently listen.
Because that whisper…
might just be your magic trying to find its way back to you.
